Pricing Templates
Pricing Templates let you define reusable pricing structures for your sports facilities. Create templates with time intervals and prices, then assign them to days of the week in the Facility Schedule.
What Are Pricing Templates?
A pricing template is a named set of time intervals, each with its own price. Instead of setting prices for every facility and every day individually, you create templates once and reuse them across your schedule.
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Template | A named pricing structure with a color, slot duration, and a list of intervals |
| Interval | A time range (e.g., 08:00—12:00) with a specific price |
| Granularity | The duration of each bookable slot (30 or 60 minutes) |
| Color | A visual identifier used in the calendar and schedule views |
Templates are organization-level entities. All facilities in your organization share the same set of templates.
Template List
When you open the Pricing Templates page, you see a grid of template cards. Each card displays:
- Template name and the number of intervals
- Slot duration (e.g., 30 min or 60 min)
- Visual interval bars showing time ranges and prices across a 24-hour timeline
- A colored top border matching the template color
Filtering
Filter templates to find what you need
Use the filters at the top of the page:
- Granularity filter — show only templates with 30-minute or 60-minute slots
- Status filter — show active templates, archived templates, or both
By default, only active templates are shown. Switch to “archived” to see templates that have been deleted.
Creating a Template
Open the Template Form
Click “Add Pricing Template”. A side panel slides in from the right.
Set Basic Information
Expand the “Basic Info” section and fill in:
- Template Name — a descriptive name (e.g., “Weekday Standard”, “Weekend Premium”)
- Slot Duration — choose 30 minutes or 60 minutes. This determines how long each bookable slot is
- Color — pick a color from the palette. This color identifies the template in the calendar and weekly schedule
Add Pricing Intervals
Expand the “Pricing Intervals” section. Each interval defines a time range and its price:
- Price — the cost for one slot during this interval
- Start Time — when the interval begins (e.g., 08:00)
- End Time — when the interval ends (e.g., 12:00)
Click “Add Interval” to add more time ranges with different prices.
Review and Save
Check the visual interval bars to verify your intervals look correct. Click “Save” to create the template.
Intervals must not overlap and must be in chronological order. The system validates this automatically and shows an error if intervals conflict.
Editing a Template
To edit an existing template:
- Click the edit icon on the template card
- Modify the name, granularity, color, or intervals as needed
- Click “Save” to apply changes
Managing Intervals
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Add interval | Click “Add Interval” at the bottom of the intervals list |
| Edit interval | Click on an interval row to expand its fields |
| Reorder intervals | Use the up/down arrows to move intervals |
| Remove interval | Click the trash icon on the interval row |
You must have at least one interval in a template. The system prevents you from removing the last interval.
Deleting a Template
Open the Template
Click the edit icon on the template card to open the side panel.
Confirm Deletion
At the bottom of the panel, click “Delete Pricing Template”. You must type the template name to confirm deletion.
Template is Archived
The template is archived (soft-deleted) and no longer appears in the active list. Switch the status filter to “archived” to see it.
Deleting a template that is currently assigned to days in a facility schedule will affect those days. Make sure to reassign a different template before deleting.
Understanding Interval Bars
Each template card and the editing panel display visual interval bars — horizontal bars representing a 24-hour day:
- Colored segments show the time ranges where prices are defined
- Grey background represents time without a defined price
- Grid lines every 2 hours help you gauge the time ranges
- Hover over a segment to see the exact start and end times in a tooltip
- Prices are shown next to each interval bar
The bars use color coding based on price relative to the average: green for cheaper slots, yellow for average, and red for more expensive slots.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many templates can I create?
There is no limit. Create as many templates as you need for different pricing scenarios — weekdays, weekends, holidays, peak hours, and more.
What is the difference between 30-minute and 60-minute granularity?
Granularity determines the length of each bookable slot. With 30-minute granularity, a 2-hour interval generates 4 slots. With 60-minute granularity, the same interval generates 2 slots. Choose based on how you want to offer booking options to your players.
Can I use the same template for multiple facilities?
Yes. Templates are shared across all facilities in your organization. You assign them to specific days of the week in the Facility Schedule page.
What happens if I edit a template that is already assigned?
Changes to a template are reflected immediately in the schedule. All facilities using that template will see the updated intervals and prices.
Can I restore a deleted template?
Deleted templates are archived. You can see them by switching the status filter to “archived”, but they cannot currently be restored through the interface.
