Creating an Organization

An organization is a workspace for your team. Create an organization to start collaborating, managing members, and configuring shared resources.

What is an Organization?

An organization in the Labs ecosystem is a centralized workspace for teams where you can:

  • Unite people — invite colleagues and create teams for collaboration
  • Manage access — assign roles and permissions for each member
  • Share resources — all members have access to shared settings and organization data
  • Scale your work — from small projects to large companies

Organization creation happens in your user profile (USR), after which management is done through the organization profile (ORG).

Step-by-Step Guide

Log in to the system and open your user profile. This is where all your personal settings and organization access are located.

Open the Organization Section

In your profile, open the Organization section. It lists the organizations you belong to and the invitations you have received.

Click Create

If you have no organizations yet, click Create in the Create new card. If you already have organizations, click Create above the list. The creation form opens.

Fill in Required Fields

Provide basic information about the organization:

  • Organization name — 6 to 64 characters, shown across the system
  • Organization code (used for URL) — 3 to 16 lowercase Latin letters, used in the organization’s address (e.g., mycompany)

The organization code cannot be changed after creation. Choose it carefully.

Select Industry

Choose the industry that best describes the organization:

IndustryDescription
SportBooking sports venues and organizing sports events
ServiceManaging client requests, organizing and structuring workflows
CateringElectronic menu, customer ordering and table reservations for restaurants and cafes
PartnerOnboards new businesses to the platform and shares in their revenue

Select Territory

Choose the territory. It cannot be changed later.

Confirm Creation

Review the entered data and click Create. The organization is created in Moderation status until a platform moderator approves it. You are added to it as its first member, with the Administrator role.

After Creating an Organization

Congratulations! Your organization is created. Now configure it for effective team collaboration.

What to Do Next?

After successfully creating an organization, we recommend the following steps:

Start Building Your Team

  • Navigate to the “Members” section in the organization profile
  • Invite colleagues by email
  • Assign a role when you invite or later

The invited user sees the invitation in their profile and can accept or decline it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many organizations can I create?

There are no limits on the number of organizations. You can create as many organizations as needed for your projects and teams. Each organization is completely independent.

Can I rename an organization after creation?

Yes, the organization name can be changed at any time in the organization settings. However, the organization code cannot be changed — it remains unchanged from the moment of creation.

How do I delete an organization?

Deleting needs settings edit access inherited from a parent organization. Open organization settings in the ORG application, scroll to Danger Zone, and select Delete Organization. Deleting sets the organization’s status to Archived.

Who is added to the organization when it is created?

The user who creates the organization is added to it as its first member, with the Administrator role. The current release does not support transferring ownership to another member.

Can I change the industry?

Yes, in organization settings, in the Industry field under Basic Info.

What if the organization code is already taken?

Organization codes must be unique. If your code is taken, the form shows an error. Try a variant (e.g., mycompanydev, mycompanyeu) or use a different code.
